NEW DELHI: The heatwave will subside from the country, barring West Rajasthan and Kerala, beginning May 11, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The weather department also said strong moisture flow from the Bay of Bengal is increasing thunderstorm activity in the country.
“Heatwave is about to end from the entire country. A heatwave alert has been issued only in West Rajasthan and Kerala,” IMD scientist Soma Sen told news agency ANI.
“Tthe heatwave will only be present in West Rajasthan,” she said.The IMD scientist also said a yellow alert was issued in parts of the country.
“We have issued a yellow alert because we don’t have a lot of hope for the impact (rain activity).” she said,
