Space : GSLV-F17 Completes Its Mission
The Indian Space Research Organisation records on its own mission page that GSLV-F17 has successfully accomplished its mission, placing EOS-05 into the intended orbit. It was the nineteenth flight of the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle, flown from the Second Launch Pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SHAR, with a four-metre ogive composite payload fairing. EOS-05, the agency states, is India’s first imaging satellite to work from geosynchronous orbit.

Education : India bag 9 Medals At The Earth Olympiad
The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Earth Sciences, Dr Jitendra Singh, felicitated the Team India school children who returned from the nineteenth International Earth Science Olympiad, 2026, with nine medals — the country’s best performance at that Olympiad.
Teachers’ Day : President Murmu Honours Teachers
The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, confers the National Teachers’ Awards on school teachers in New Delhi on 5 September. The Press Information Bureau carried the President’s greetings on the eve of Teachers’ Day. The number of awardees is not printed: two non-government sources gave different counts and the figure was dropped.
Audit and assurance : NFRA consitutues a Audit-Quality Committee
The National Financial Reporting Authority has constituted an Advisory Committee on Audit Quality, Assurance and Technology. An advisory committee that takes technology into its title is a signal about where the Authority expects audit failure and audit improvement both to come from over the next decade.
Skilling : Corporate Mitra Opens With 2,879 Learners
