NEW DELHI: India will be the third-largest economy in the world soon, but it’s important for India to continue the reforms, said World Economic Forum (WEF) President Borge Brende at the B20 Summit on August 25.
“There is a lot of optimism in India, which is also the basis of India’s Presidency of the G20. India has been the fastest growing ecomony for three years in a row, in the middle of sluggish global growth,” Borge said,
He added, “India will be the third largest economy in the world in a few years, a 10 trillion dollar economy in a decade, and larger than Germany and Japan in a few years,” Brende said.
