NEW DELHI: Kerala, known for its strides in education, has taken another innovative step by introducing its first generative AI teacher, Iris. Developed in collaboration with Makerlabs Edutech Private Limited, Iris marks a significant advancement in the integration of artificial intelligence in education.
Unveiled at KTCT Higher Secondary School in Thiruvananthapuram, Iris is a humanoid designed to enhance the learning experience for students.
Makerlabs shared a video of Iris on Instagram, showcasing its potential to transform education. “With IRIS, we’ve set out to revolutionise education by harnessing the power of AI to create a truly personalized learning experience,” they wrote.
Built under the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) project initiated by NITI Aayog, Iris boasts a range of features aimed at revolutionising traditional teaching methods.
