NEW DELHI: Lions Club of New Delhi Alaknanda (LCNDA) marked its 32nd Installation Ceremony with a blend of ceremonial pride and festive joy, hosting a grand Janmashtami celebration alongside the formal induction of its new leadership. The event drew a packed gathering.
The installation was conducted by Past District Governor Lion Nargis Gupta, with the new Executive team pledging to further the club’s service mission.
Club President Lion CA Abhishek Jain opened the evening with an address that rekindled the spirit of Lionism, reminding the members why ‘We Serve’ remains more than just a motto.
Lions Clubs International President Lion AP Singh delivered a rousing speech that earned a standing ovation. District Governor Lion Onkar Singh Renu energised the audience with words of encouragement.
Milestone recognitions included the induction of 10 new members, the Chiranji Lal Dhanuka Service Award to Pragyata Foundation, CA CP Agrawal Memorial Scholarships to four aspiring chartered accountants, and honours for members completing 25 years of service. Lion Lalit Narang was named ‘Lion of the Month’.

The Leo Club also welcomed its new leadership team – Leo Rahini Jain as President, Leo Shruti Garg as Secretary, and Leo Arnav Jain as Treasurer.
Janmashtami festivities, led by Chairman Lion Sunil Agarwal and Co-Chairman Lion Rajesh Gupta, brought devotional warmth through bhajans, cultural performances and festive décor.
Secretary Lion Ravi Agrawal and Treasurer Lion Chinmay Bansal were praised for ensuring the event ran without a hitch. The evening closed on a note of fellowship and renewed commitment to service.
