President Murmu arrives in Suriname on official visit

PARAMARIBO (SURINAME) President DroupadiMurmu arrived at Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport in Paramaribo, Suriname on June 5.She was received by the Chief of Protocol of Suriname and the Indian ambassador.
This is the President’s maiden visit to Suriname and also her first state visit since assuming office in July 2022.
The President is scheduled to hold a meeting with Suriname President Chandrikapersad Santokhi. She will be in Suriname till June 7 and thereafter will leave for Serbia for a official visit.
