NEW DELHI: Budget carrier SpiceJet has been taken off from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) ‘s enhanced surveillance regime wherein a total of 23 aircraft were inspected and 95 observations were made, the aviation watchdog said on July 25.
The civil aviation regulator conducted 51 spot checks across 11 locations on the airline’s Boeing 737 & Q-400.
Suitable maintainance action was taken by the airline to address the findings in accordance with DGCA guidelines.
“As a consequence, SpiceJet has been taken off the enhanced surveillance regime by DGCA,” the official said.
News agency PTI had reported on June 11 that SpiceJet was under ‘enhanced surveillance’ for over three weeks amid the budget airline facing multiple financial headwinds in recent months.
