Launched in July 2023 in collaboration with the Ratna Foundation & Nagrik Foundation, the Rotary Pustak Programme aims to donate 400,000 school books to underprivileged children and needy schools. This initiative aspires to inspire a love of learning and empower young minds.

Reflecting the words of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, former President of India, “Education is not mere preparation for life, but it is life itself,” the Rotary Pustak Programme embodies this spirit by bringing the joy of learning to those who need it most.

Rotary Pustak Programme

The Rotary Club of Gurgaon Passion, led by President Rtn Sandeepp Saxena, was the lead club for this initiative. The programme chair Rtn Pran Mehta, received strong support from PDG Rtn Anup Mittal and books distribution was coordinated by Rtn Sreekanth Reddy.

Rtn Pran Mehta, Chairman of the committee, shared his inspiration for the programme: “Books have the power to transform lives. We believe every child deserves access to quality education, and we are committed to making that a reality.”

Rotary Pustak Programme

Books were distributed to various recipient organizations, including MCD Schools in Delhi, government schools, NGOs, Arya Samaj Schools, and schools with needy students. These organizations were carefully selected to ensure that the resources reached those who needed them most.

To ensure a smooth distribution process, three godowns were earmarked, and an elaborate distribution network was established. A receipt book was created to ensure transparency, detailing the distribution details.

The programme’s success is evident in the distribution of 150,000 books in the first phase, with the remaining books scheduled for distribution in the coming months. This initiative will empower thousands of children through education, bridging the gap between privileged and underprivileged children.

Rotary Pustak Programme

The Rotary Pustak Programme stands as a shining example of collaboration and commitment to literacy. By providing access to quality education, the programme is inspiring a love of learning that will last a lifetime. As it continues to grow, it will help create a culture of literacy and learning, inspiring a new generation of leaders and change-makers.

In conclusion, the Rotary Pustak Programme is a gift of opportunity and hope, empowering underprivileged children to break free from the cycle of disadvantage and unlock their full potential. Through this initiative, the Rotary Club Of Gurgaon Passion and its partners are shining a light on the path to a brighter future, one book at a time.
