Big time darts makes its mark in Kolkata when the India qualifiers of the PDC World Championships would be conducted in the City of Joy, beginning October 27. The two-day event, to be held at the prestigious Tollygunge Club, will see leading stars of darts battling it out for top honours. The winner will get a direct entry to represent India in the biggest event of the sport – the World Darts Championships 2025 – which will be held at the prestigious Alexandra Palace in London, a few weeks from now, in December.
A major highlight of the India qualifier will be the presence of Englishman Russ Bray, the global ambassador of the sport. “The presence of Russ Bray will give a big shot in the arm for darts in the country. Without doubt, he will be a big draw,” said Devesh Srivastava, President of the Indian Darts Council, which is hosting the mega event.
