INDIA won a heart stopping match edging South Africa by 7 runs to win the T20 World Cup in Barbados on June 29. The Men in Blue finally overcame the jinx of winning a World Cup after a long gap of 13 years. Virat Kohli was the star performer with his stellar knock of 76. Fittingly, it was his last innings in T20 as he ended his career in the shortest format on a high. Jaspreet Bumrah and Hardik Pandya were the other stars with their exploits with the ball. While the former returned with figures of 2 for 18, Hardik bowled the epoch making last over in which he conceded just 9 runs.
