PRIME Minister Narendra Modi on July 27 said that Operation Sindoor has sent a clear message to the world that India will respond strongly to any threat against its security and sovereignty.
Speaking at the historic Gangaikonda Cholapuram temple in Tamil Nadu’s Ariyalur district, PM Modi said, “Today’s India prioritises its security. During Operation Sindoor, the world witnessed that if anyone threatens India’s sovereignty, the country will respond in their own language.” The Prime Minister was addressing a special function marking the valedictory celebrations of the Aadi Thiruvathirai festival and the 1000th anniversary of Rajendra Chola’s maritime expedition to Southeast Asia.
He announced that grand statues of Chola emperors Rajaraja Chola and Rajendra Chola will be erected in Tamil Nadu to honour their contributions to Indian history and culture. PM Modi during his visit to Tamil Nadu laid the foundation stone, inaugurated and dedicated to the nation development projects worth over 4,800 crore rupees in Thoothukudi. These initiatives span across key sectors, including airports, highways, ports, railways, and critical power sector advancements.
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi highlighted the historic Free Trade Agreement signed between India and the United Kingdom during his overseas tour. Noting that this development symbolises the growing global trust in India and the nation’s renewed confidence, he remarked that this confidence will drive the creation of a developed India and a developed Tamil Nadu.
