EMERSON plans to further increase its reach in Saudi Arabia by establishing a stateof-art manufacturing hub at the King Salman Energy Park (SPARK), a venture undertaken by the Saudi AMANA.
The initiative is to help fortify the company’s standing in the region and it is one of Emerson’s biggest investments in the Middle East and Africa. The effort goes beyond ‘expansion’.
It shows Emerson’s dedication to its stakeholders in Saudi Arabia, aligning with Vision 2030 strategy of the Kingdom.
The choice of Saudi AMANA for its bespoke design-build and turnkey services, coupled with its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and digitalisation, reveals Emerson’s strategic approach to this endeavour.
According to Emerson, the upcoming manufacturing hub will be in harmony with environmental sustainability principles, propelling the company towards its net-zero emission objectives. Simultaneously, it will adhere to SPARK’s environmental sustainability standards.
The hub, set to reach completion by late 2024, will consolidate Emerson’s manufacturing capabilities within the Kingdom under one roof, yielding an array of automation products encompassing measurement instrumentation, control valves, pressure relief valves, solenoid valves, and control and safety systems.
As the project broke ground in early January, Hussein Zein, Vice-President of Emerson Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, said, “The appointment of Saudi AMANA is a significant step toward the realisation of Emerson’s vision in Saudi Arabia. Emerson’s journey in the Kingdom has been marked by strategic investments and expansions in local manufacturing capabilities, and we look forward to opening this new innovation and manufacturing hub.”
