NEW DELHI : Leading Taiwanese technology firms are looking at relocating their manufacturing bases to India to bring down their dependence on China market, top policymakers in the Taiwan government said.
Taiwan’s Deputy Minister for National Development, Kao Shien Quey said there was huge scope for collaboration between the two countries in areas of emerging and critical technologies which includes the manufacturing of semi conductors and electronic equipment.
The Taiwanese Deputy minister described India as an important country for Taiwanese companies operating in China as they are looking at decoupling the supply chain from that country.
“India has all the infrastructure which is required for a good manufacturing hub and we are certain that in the coming months a lot of Taiwanese companies will be setting their base here,” said Kao Shien.
