An overwhelming majority – 88 per cent – of informal trade between India and Pakistan flows through this hub, with a staggering 68 per cent of India’s exports to Pakistan routed through Dubai. What’s more, the Dubai route boasts 2.75 times greater efficiency in terms of transaction costs compared to direct channels.
