UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met his Czech Republic counterpart Jan Lipavsky during his working visit to Prague on March 28.
The two deliberated on strategies to bolster bilateral ties and foster collaborative efforts between their nations. Central to their discourse was the exploration of avenues for enhancing cooperation across diverse domains, encompassing economic, investment, and developmental spheres, with a keen eye towards mutual advancement.
Sheikh Abdullah underscored the paramount importance the UAE places on nurturing its relationship with the Czech Republic, commending the steady evolution in collaborative endeavours between the two nations over time.
In reciprocation, the Czech Foreign Minister warmly welcomed Sheikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation, expressing his nation’s keenness to elevate cooperation across multiple fronts. The conversation went beyond bilateral affairs, as the dignitaries delved into recent developments in the Middle East, particularly focusing on the humanitarian challenges besetting the Gaza Strip.
Sheikh Abdullah emphasised the need for regional and international efforts towards achieving a sustainable ceasefire, aimed at safeguarding civilian security and bolstering humanitarian relief endeavours in Gaza. Additionally, he underscored the necessity of global collaboration in combatting extremism, diffusing tensions, and safeguarding civilian lives, alongside intensifying humanitarian assistance to alleviate the plight of Gaza’s populace.
The meeting was attended by officials including Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, and Ghalia Ali Al Humaidan, Charge d’Affaires at the UAE Embassy in the Czech Republic, epitomising the commitment of both nations towards fostering constructive dialogues and pursuing shared objectives.
