Blitz India’s foray into development journalism has not only Been applauded, but elicited huge backing from all the stakeholders of New India, and that’s a matter of immense satisfaction. The presence of a galaxy of thought leaders at the online launch event of this premium weekly and the viewpoints expressed by them are a strong testimony to this. A summary of the event proceedings has been presented in this edition. We thank everyone and reiterate our commitment to strengthen the platform that we have created for covering all nation-building initiatives. We are steadfast, and we have your support.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s powerful speech on where and how to take the nation forward when it celebrates 100 years of Independence provided us with an excellent centerspread in this second issue of Blitz India. In his reply to the Motion of Thanks in the Upper House, the PM called upon the people of the country to walk together with the same mindset, adding that a golden period is imminent. e whole world is looking forward to India with hope, emphasized the PM. We, at Blitz India, feel particularly reassured for having chosen this resurgent India as our focus area.

Two robust examples of rising India are manifested in the Back Page coverage of this week’s issue. Citing various instances of the assistance that have gone from India to Sri Lanka, the top story explains how India is now not only self-sufficient to take care of its own needs but also capable to help the rest of the world. The photo feature is about another glorious achievement of the country, the Atal Tunnel. Inaugurated by PM Modi over a year back, the 9.02-km long tunnel, at an altitude of above 3,000 meters at Rohtang in Himachal Pradesh, has been recognized as the ‘Longest Highway Tunnel above 10,000 feet’ by the World Book of Records. The Government’s effort to bring legal clarity on cryptocurrencies is also a progressive move and we have made it the Cover Story this week.

Blitz India’s tribute to the ‘Nightingale of the Nation’ is another important part of our coverage. Lata Mangeshkar is dead but her voice will live forever. Our story charts the personal and professional life of the legendary singer, including some hitherto unknown facts. The focus country this week in Kenya, which has a common legacy of struggle against colonialism with India. The East African nation has a large and vibrant community of almost 80,000 people of Indian origin, many of whom have distinguished themselves in various fields. Besides, the issue comprises a bouquet of development news and features from India and abroad. Enjoy reading!
