Arare gathering of the elite and the common rural folk listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat at a grand function organised by Blitz India in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh on April 30.
The massive crowd spilled beyond the sprawling lawns of the Shakti Kunj Ashram, the venue of the event, on the outskirts of the historic Sandi town of the district. Everyone listened to PM Modi with rapt attention, disregarding the inclement weather and occasional drizzle.
And almost in unison, everyone broke into a rapturous applause, shouting “Modi, Modi” when the Prime Minister completed his landmark address.
Back to the roots
Thanking the audience, Blitz India Chairman and Editor-in Chief Deepak Dwivedi said he had been inspired to organise the live broadcast of PM Modi’s historic address in his home district by Hardoi’s veteran politician Naresh Aggarwal’s exhortation to him “to come back to your roots.”
Chief Guest Aggarwal likened PM Modi to Lord Shiva, whose followers cut across the barriers of caste, community, and language because they have unstinted faith in him.
Jai Prakash, Lok Sabha member from Hardoi, said PM Modi crafts messages that venture into the nooks and corners of the nation, building bridges between the people and the Government.
“By platforming dialogues on different regions, languages and dialects, PM Modi has strengthened India’s social democracy,” said senior politician PK Verma, who was also present on the occasion.
