NEW DELHI: On World Health Day, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (world is one family)’ is India’s heritage. We have fulfilled our responsibility by providing medicines and vaccines to more than 180 countries during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Union Health Minister had reached Delhi’s Vijay Chowk to participate in the walkathon on the occasion of World Health Day. During this, the medical staff and paramedical staff covered the distance from Vijay Chowk to Nirman Bhawan on foot. The event was organised with the theme Health for All with an aim to create awareness about healthy habits to keep away Non-Communicable Diseases.
According to the Union Health Ministry, several states have seen a spurt in the number of COVID-19 cases, and efforts are being taken to contain the spread of the virus. The Health Minister has called a review meeting with the health ministers of all the states through video conferencing.
