NEW DELHI: India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck in New Delhi. The Bhutan King is on a on a visit to India. He reached India on April 3. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar welcomed him at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. On the importance of this visit, Minister S. Jaishankar said that this visit will strengthen the relations between the two countries.
Bhutan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release that the visit is a testament to the long-standing and deep friendship between Bhutan and India, and it will further strengthen the close ties between the two countries.
The Bhutanese King will hold talks with President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other officials of the Government of India.
