NEW DELHI: Sunjay Sudhir, India’s Ambassador to the UAE, has been instrumental in shaping the dynamic relationship between the two countries. With India’s G20 presidency and the UAE being the Chair of COP28, both nations are leveraging their combined strengths to craft the blueprint for a new global order.
In a recent interview with DD News, Ambassador Sudhir emphasised the commonalities and shared agenda that revolves around the principles of development, justice, equity, and harmony for all, echoing the values cherished by Mahatma Gandhi and Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founding father of the UAE.
Earlier this year, at a seminar of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)-Abu Dhabi chapter, Ambassador Sudhir highlighted the UAE’s unwavering faith in India. He asserted: “UAE believes in the India Story and places its bets on it.”
A seasoned diplomat, with a career spanning over three decades, Sanjay Sudhir has served as the High Commissioner of India to the Maldives, Consul General of India in Sydney, and Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of India to the WTO. He also holds the position of India’s Permanent Representative to the International Renewable Energy Agency.
