NEW DELHI: The first month of the year 2023 is going to be a busy affair as G20 working group meetings and side events are scheduled across ten different locations along with a virtual meeting.
From 9th to 11th, Kolkata is going to host the first meeting for Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion. It will be followed by another Finance Track meeting, the first Infrastructure Working Group Meeting, on January 16 and 17, in Pune.
A virtual meeting is scheduled for 17th and 18th on the digital economy. Next in line is a Sherpa Trek meeting, first Health Working Group meeting in Thiruvananthapuram from 18th to 20th.
Chandigarh, too, is gearing up for first International Financial Architecture Working Group meeting scheduled on 30th and 31st of this month. Chennai will host a first Working Group Education meeting on education from January 31 to February 2.
Officials said meetings will also be held in Bhopal, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Puducherry. During these meeting, delegates and participants will get a taste of local delicacies and artisans will get a chance to display their art and products.
A tentative schedule for excursion visits in January includes: a half-day tour to Sanchi Stupa in Madhya Pradesh; Aga Khan Palace, Shaniwar Wada and Shivneri Fort in Pune; Rani ki Vav in Patan, Sun Temple, Teen Darwaaza, Adalaj Stepwell in Gujarat; Charminar and Golconda Fort in Hyderabad; and Shore Temple of Mamallapuram in Tamil Nadu.
