New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has commended Jammu and Kashmir for the remarkable achievement of ensuring all its villages attain ODF Plus status in the ‘Model’ category under the second phase of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen). On platform X, Prime Minister Modi expressed his admiration, saying, “I extend my hearty congratulations to the residents of Jammu and Kashmir. Their dedicated efforts have marked a significant milestone in India’s mission to foster a clean and healthy environment.”
The Swachh Bharat Mission, launched by the Government of India, is a nation-wide campaign that emphasizes the importance of cleanliness and sanitation. It aims not only to construct toilets and eradicate open defecation but also to change the mindset of millions regarding waste management and hygiene practices.
