NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and dedicated various development initiatives valued at over Rs 13,500 crore to the country, at Mahbubnagar in Telangana on October 1.

These projects span vital sectors such as transportation, railways, petroleum, natural gas, and higher education. Additionally, the PM initiated a train service using video conferencing during the event.

Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister underlined the advent of the festive season and said that the passage of Nari Shakti VandanAdhiniyam in Parliament had established the spirit of Shakti Puja before the onset of Navratri.

Modi began his speech in Telugu and addressed the people as his family (NaaKuttumbaSabhyulara) and continued to address them in the same way throughout the speech.

The Prime Minister expressed his happiness in initiating multiple road connectivity projects that are set to bring transformative change to the region. The Nagpur-Vijayawada Economic Corridor promises to streamline transportation and business activities across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra, thereby boosting trade, tourism, and industry in these regions. He shared that this corridor will feature prominent economic centers, encompassing 8 Special Economic Zones, 5 Mega food parks, 4 seafood and fishing clusters, 3 pharma and medical hubs, and a textiles cluster. This development presents numerous opportunities for the young population in districts like Hanamkonda, Mahabubabad, Warangal, and Khammam.

The Prime Minister highlighted the need for rail and road connectivity for a land-locked state like Telangana for taking the goods manufactured here to the ports. He said many key economic corridors of the country are passing through Telangana. All these will become a medium to connect the state with the East and West Coast. The Suryapet-Khammam section of the Hyderabad Visakhapatnam corridor will also help in this. It will help in reaching the East Coast. Besides, logistics, the logistics expenses for industries and businesses will decrease. The railway line under construction between the Jaklair and Krishna sections will hold significant value for the local residents, he stated.
