PM Modi says no world leader asked India to stop Operation Sindoor

Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned the marathon threeday debate in Parliament on Operation Sindoor during the monsoon session into a fiery crucible of Bharat’s resolve, defending the military action with a ferocity that left the Opposition in shambles.

He not only refuted the Opposition charge of a third-party intervention in ordering a ceasefire, but also served a notice on Pakistan. “Now, India will demolish terror in the terrorism nursery. Which is why Operation Sindoor hasn’t ended. It will continue. So, it’s a notice to Pakistan. India will keep taking action till Pakistan doesn’t stop its actions against us,” he said in the Lok Sabha.

The strong message was endorsed by Union Ministers Rajnath Singh (Defence), Amit Shah (Home), S Jaishankar (External Affairs) and other senior leaders in their speeches in both the Houses of Parliament. They reiterated India’s will and capability to hit back, if Pakistan provoked again.

Dispelling Opposition charges that the Government was hiding facts, PM Modi categorically asserted that no world leader had asked India to stop but it was Pakistan which had come begging and Indian forces paused only after achieving their 100 per cent target. He also underlined that Pakistan was isolated on the global stage, as only three out of over 190 countries spoke in its favour. On the other hand, most countries across the globe offered support to India in its counter-attack following the terror strike in Pahalgam. The Modi Government used the debate to make ‘three points’ clear. “First, if there is a terrorist attack on India, we will respond in our own method, on our conditions and on our time. Second, no nuclear blackmail would work now.

Third, we will not see terrorist-supporting governments and terror masterminds as two separate entities,” the Prime Minister said. Opposition parties, particularly the Congress, came in for a scathing attack for undermining India’s defence preparedness and trying to undermine the nation’s will now that it has been kept out of power since 2014 Operation Sindoor, apart from striking a lethal blow on terrorism, has showcased the power of a self-reliant India. “Made in India drones, missiles exposed Pakistan’s weapon system,” PM Modi pointed out.

Earlier, initiating the debate in the Lok Sabha, Defence Minister said Operation Sindoor was not just a military action but an effective and decisive demonstration of the Government’s responsibility towards India’s sovereignty. Shah underscored the operation’s crowning glory: Pakistan’s surrender on May 10 after Indian forces pounded their airfields was a geopolitical slap, laid bare for the nation to cheer. Jaishankar junked US President Donald Trump’s claim of brokering a ceasefire. “No Modi-Trump talks occurred between April 22 and June 17,” he said.
