NEW DELHI: If you are planning to watch IPL T-20 matches at Arun Jaitley Stadium in the National Capital, you need not worry about your return home. Delhi Metro has announced to extend its last train timings on all lines to facilitate spectators using their service.
The stadium, also called Ferozshah Kotla Ground, is adjacent to the Delhi Gate Metro station on the Violet Line (Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh route). DMRC will be extending its last train timings by about 30-45 minutes on all lines (except Airport Line). Thus, spectators can reach their destination without much hassle.
The days of the services are April 4, 11, 20, 29 and May 6, 13, and 20.
According to a DMRC statement, the additional train trips beyond normal timings are planned in such a way that they will provide connecting services as well. These are linked to all directions from interchange stations of Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Kashmere Gate, Kirti Nagar, Inderlok and Lajpat Nagar.
Moreover, additional token vending machines, pre-vended token counters and staff will also be deployed at Delhi Gate Metro station for facilitating passengers on the match days, the statement added.
