New Delhi, India – April 26, 2024 – YOSI (Young Ophthalmologists Society of India) is proud to announce its inaugural annual meeting, YOSICON 2024, set to take place at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on April 27th and 28th, 2024. This landmark event marks a significant milestone for YOSI in its mission to support and nurture the burgeoning talent of young ophthalmologists across India.
Under the theme “Classroom to Cutting Edge,” YOSICON 2024 will offer a diverse range of scientific deliberations, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities. From research-based presentations to practical insights on practice management and academic learning, YOSICON 2024 will provide attendees with invaluable knowledge and skills to shape their careers and make meaningful contributions to the field.

One of the highlights of YOSICON 2024 is the opportunity for young ophthalmologists to interact with international luminaries in the field. YOSI was founded with a clear vision: to cater to the needs of young ophthalmologists (YOs) under the age of 40 or those within the first five years of their post-graduate phase. Dr. Tarun Arora initiated the idea in 2014, what began as a simple online platform, evolved into a formal society. It is a registered society, affiliated with the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) anda member of the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO).
Under the dynamic leadership of President – Dr. SonalKalia, Vice President – Dr. Diva Kant Misra, Secretary – Dr. Karan Bhatia, Treasurer – Dr. AwaneeshUpadhyay, Joint Secretary – Dr. Nilesh Kumar and Immediate Past President Dr. Digvijay Singh, YOSI has flourished. One of YOSI’s recent collaborations, the ACRI (Anybody Can Research and Innovate), held in conjunction with Dr. V.K. Raju, Eye Foundation of America and Goutami Eye Institute, Rajahmundry showcased the research prowess of YOs and provided winners with invaluable opportunities for further scientific learning at international conferences.
