NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the completion of nine years of his monthly radio programme, Mann Ki Baat, by sharing a detailed study that delves into its varied themes and their societal influence.

This research, a collaborative effort between the State Bank of India and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bengaluru, meticulously analyzed 105 episodes of Mann Ki Baat. These episodes, over the years, have been a conduit for the Prime Minister to directly reach out to the masses, sharing government initiatives, discussing social issues, celebrating unsung heroes, and emphasizing the importance of collective societal growth.

On platform X, Prime Minister Modi noted: “Today, as Mann Ki Baat celebrates its 9-year journey, the study by the State Bank of India and IIM Bengaluru serves as a testament to the programme’s depth and range. It’s heartening to see how we’ve celebrated numerous individual successes, stories, and community efforts through this unique medium.”

Mann Ki Baathas been more than just a radio programme. For many, it’s a monthly rendezvous with the Prime Minister where he not only speaks but listens. Over the years, the programme has covered an array of topics – from emphasizing the importance of water conservation and fitness to discussing the achievements of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Furthermore, this platform has also seen active participation from listeners who send their questions, feedback, and stories, making it an interactive experience. The programme has successfully facilitated a two-way communication between the government and its citizens, making governance more transparent and accessible.

As Mann Ki Baat steps into its tenth year, it stands as a reflection of the Indian ethos, collective dreams, aspirations, and the continuous journey of a nation and its people towards progress.
