NEW DELHI: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, marked a significant occasion by inaugurating 12 Goods and Services Tax (GST) seva kendras at Gyandham School in Vapi, Gujarat. In addition to this, the Finance Minister also bestowed prizes to six customers who actively participated in the Mera Bill Mera Adhikaar scheme.
Each winner received an award of Rs 10 lakh, recognizing their proactive involvement in the scheme by uploading valid GST bills on the designated app after their purchases.
Nirmala Sitharaman emphasised the importance of these state-of-the-art centers in bolstering the ease of doing business in India. She extended her congratulations to Gujarat for taking the lead in establishing these centers, asserting that they will serve as a model for other states to follow in pursuit of similar initiatives.
