Govt will work harder to build a developed India: PM Modi

Deepak DwivediAS his Government completed nine years of service to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was full of humility and gratitude. “Every decision made, every action taken, has been guided by the desire to improve the lives of people. We will keep working even harder to build a developed India,” he said in a tweet on May 30.

To amplify the massage, he along with his Cabinet colleagues and senior BJP leaders launched a month-long Maha Jansampark campaign from different parts of the country.

Cong ‘tricking’ voters

Addressing a mammoth gathering on May 31, at Ajmer in Rajasthan – where Assembly elections are due a few months from now – PM Modi accused the Congress Party of tricking the voters. “This ‘guarantee habit’ of Congress is not new, it is old. Fifty years back, the Congress gave the ‘Garibi Hatao’ guarantee to the country. This is Congress party’s biggest treachery with the poor,” he said.

Ahead of the rally in Ajmer, he also offered prayers at the Brahma temple at Pushkar, PM Modi informed the gathering. “In our scriptures, Lord Brahma has been called the creator of the universe. With Lord Brahma’s blessings, an era of new creation is going on in India. The BJPled NDA Government at the Centre has completed nine years,” he said.

PM Modi lashed out at the Opposition for boycotting the inauguration of the new Parliament building, saying the Congress “insulted” the sentiments of the country and the hard work of 60,000 labourers.

He asserted that the nine years of the BJP Government were dedicated to the service of the people, good governance, and welfare of the poor; and this was acknowledged by leaders of other countries at various international forums.

Mega BJP campaign

Under the BJP’s Maha Jansampark programme, public rallies and meetings will be held across Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha constituencies to mark the party’s nine years of power at the Centre. Apart from PM Modi, party president JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh as well as chief ministers of BJP-ruled states will spearhead this mega campaign.

Apart from focusing on the Government’s welfare schemes, they will educate the masses on how PM Modi has turned India from being one of the ‘fragile five’ to donning the mantle of the world’s fastest-growing economy. They will also speak about the phenomenal rise in India’s global stature
