AS the BJP completed 11 years in power at the Centre on May 26, the ruling establishment readied to celebrate first anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Government’s third term on June 9 with a splash.
PM Modi summoned a meeting of his Cabinet, the first since Operation Sindoor, to brief his ministers about details of current developments. The agenda also included discussions on the achievements of the Government over the past 11 years. “The world has seen our strength,” said the PM, referring to the successful mission. Highlighting the Government’s shift towards rapid decision-making, he remarked: “Earlier, decisions used to take days, but now we conclude matters in just 22 minutes.”
Result-driven
PM Modi also underscored the urgency and scale of the Government’s ongoing mission and urged the ministers to stay focused and result-driven. “Our goals are big and time is short. We must work with full attention to our targets,” he reportedly told members of the Cabinet. The Prime Minister announced that all ministries will soon shift to the newly constructed Central Vista Secretariat, which will offer expanded workspace and enhance inter-ministerial coordination. Vision documents outlining the nation’s goals to become a Vikisit Bharat by 2047 are already in place. PM Modi exhorted the ministers looking into various sectors to ensure that ground action to meet the targets was taken at a quick pace.
The Prime Minister directed all ministries to compile and share their accomplishments with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, which will prepare a booklet highlighting the Government’s work.
Cabinet ministers have been asked to promote these achievements through social media and newspaper articles. They will focus on a comparative presentation between the UPA and NDA regimes, emphasising how the situation has changed over the past 11 years.
The presentations would be framed around two core themes: reviewing accomplishments during the Modi Government’s tenure and laying out the roadmap for future initiatives. The Prime Minister’s Office had outlined significant events scheduled for the next few months and urged ministers to engage meaningfully with the public on these occasions.
‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ (Resolve to Attainment) would be the overarching theme of events planned to commemorate 11 years of PM Modi’s achievements and all Union Ministries as well as CMs of the BJP-ruled states would spearhead the campaign across the country. Union minister and BJP President JP Nadda, has asked party units down the ladder to reach out to people and establish direct contact with beneficiaries of various Government schemes
