ON the occasion of World Tiger Day that falls on July 29, we bring to you some images of this iconic species which remains unparalleled in popularity.
Thanks to the efforts being put to save the tiger from extinction, the big cat is thriving all across India.
From the sub-Himalayan regions of Uttarakhand and Assam to the arid Rajasthan, from the Southern India’s forests of Nagarhole and Bandipur and from the flood plains of Kaziranga to the mangrove forests of Sunderban, the tiger has won the battle of survival. At Blitz India, we take the opportunity to celebrate the world’s most photographed and amazing animal.
Blitz India is delighted to have on board senior journalist Ajay Suri, who has worked with The Indian Express and several other media organisations. Suri is also a wild life enthusiast and environmentalist and writes extensively on environment and other topical subjects. He has also made films for the National Georgaphic channel and Doordarshan. Suri is a recipient of the Ramnath Goenka Award.
