BJP to deploy ‘vistaraks’ in all 543 Lok Sabha seats

shindhu jhaNEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party has started formulating plans to win the general election next year by deciding to deploy ‘vistaraks’ in all 543 Lok Sabha seats across the country.

A committee of 10 leaders, led by national general secretary Sunil Bansal, has been formed to oversee this process.

The committee will be responsible for planning and executing the strategy nationwide and will report to Bansal. While Dinesh Sharma, former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has been appointed as the coordinator, Bhikhu Bhai Dalsania and Rajkumar Sharma have been assigned the role of coconvenors.

Vistaraks are BJP party workers who have previously volunteered or worked full-time for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) or any of its affiliated organisations.

These individuals, who are currently associated with the BJP, are believed to provide valuable feedback on the ground situation due to their background with the Sangh and their full-time dedication. At the state level, teams will be established under the leadership of different leaders. They will report on their respective Lok Sabha constituencies to the state coordinator, who will then work with the national team to further implement the strategy.

BJP aims to complete the selection, training and deployment of full-time party workers in major states like Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh by December 1. The same target is set to be achieved in smaller states by January 1,2024.

It is important to note that the initial plan was to deploy vistaraks in 160 Lok Sabha seats which were considered weak by the BJP. However, the party has now decided to expand its deployment to cover all 543 seats.

The deployment of vistaraks aims to strengthen the party’s position and increase the chances of victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
