NEW DELHI: April 11, 2026, marked a red-letter day for the Blitz India Media Group as it unveiled its Gujarati edition in Rajkot – the Group’s first major step into regional languages and a significant milestone in its expansion.
More than a launch, the Rajkot event evolved into a strong endorsement of development-oriented journalism aligned with India’s vision of becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047. It was not merely a linguistic addition by the Blitz Group, but a statement of intent – bringing sharper focus to stories of growth, innovation and inclusive progress.
Set amid the breezy lawns of the Speedwell complex, the evening blended celebration with a clear ideological purpose. On the distinguished dais were Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat; Rajkot MP Parshottam Rupala; Rajya Sabha Member Rambhai Mokariya; Blitz India Chairman & Editor-in-Chief Deepak Dwivedi; Director and Executive Editor of Gujarat edition Parth Nadpara; former UK MP Henry Smith; Chintan Research Foundation President Shishir Priyadarshi; senior cooperative leader Dilip Sanghani; and former INS president Rakesh Sharma.
Governor Devvrat lent gravitas and philosophical clarity to the occasion. “When positive thinking increases in the world, development, peace, brotherhood and unity are born together,” he said.
Emphasising the need to rebalance public discourse, he rhetorically asked, “If a thief breaks into someone’s house, it becomes news. But tell me, what inspires people to do good?” The Governor stressed that media must go beyond information to spread positive energy, highlighting silent acts of service and constructive change essential for societal confidence and mental well-being.
Underscoring this, he noted that across the world many individuals and institutions serve selflessly without recognition, and when such stories become news, they inspire others. Prioritising constructive reporting, he suggested, is vital for a healthier, more cohesive society. “The latest initiative by ‘Blitz India’ will not only expand the reach of information, but will also act as a bridge to take our culture and values to the vast Gujarati diaspora spread across the world,” the Governor stressed.
Truth & inspiration
Lok Sabha MP Parshottam Rupala situated the initiative within India’s civilisational ethos, arguing that journalism must draw from traditions of truth and inspiration to document stories of progress. He emphasised that countless positive developments – from grassroots initiatives to ethical institutions – remain underreported, and that amplifying them can guide both the nation and the world. Blitz India’s Deepak Dwivedi framed the Gujarati edition as part of a larger campaign to align journalism with national development. He spoke of a prevailing narrative of negativity in the media and called for a return to journalism that strengthens society.
Stressing research-driven, solutionoriented reporting, he highlighted the need to connect policy with the last-mile citizen who seeks awareness of the Government schemes and opportunities. In his powerful address, Dwivedi outlined an ambitious roadmap of the Blitz India Media Group – expanding into 13 regional languages and multiple global platforms to take India’s growth story to 193 countries. He described Blitz India as a non-profit platform committed to sustainable development journalism, combining depth, balance, and ethical responsibility.
Multi-media group
Blitz India Media Group, with its 18 publications, focuses in sustained coverage to the ideas, policies, programmes and activities that deal with the improvement of the life of people. Its multiple editions provide a fair, accurate and contextualised picture of today’s India, and the world, without hyping the negative.
