NEW DELHI: The explosion in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) tourism, advent of cloud kitchens and the rise in the number of people eating out due to higher disposable incomes – all made a strong case for a brand like Moets to grow and expand.
The recent foray in Connaught Place was a strategic decision by Moets, executed at break-neck speed. The revival of CP post-Metro has seen an unprecedented boom in the colonial-era market, with a few corners unwittingly emerging as food hubs. K Block in the Outer Circle is one such arc, housing some top-notch eateries. Brand Moets’ presence at such a prime location was, thus, a natural corollary.
Similarly, increased connectivity via Metro and an intense yearning of people living across the Yamuna to have some cool names, such as Moets, closer to their homes, led to the brand’s much-awaited entry in Preet Vihar, East Delhi, earlier this year.
Also, as with South Delhi, East Delhi is home to some of the oldest families of the city – people who have a discerning taste and who are connoisseurs of authentic tandoori flavours which they would have encountered only at a DefCol outlet – that of Moets.
